Neutrogena Foot Cream

Like a lot of 40-somethings, I can get dry feet, especially my heels. It seems more prevalent in warmer months when I don’t wear socks as often. (Socks help hold moisture in.) When I break out the sandals and flip flops, I often find my feet need some added attention to look their best.

I’ve tried lots of regular body lotions in the past on my feet, but they just didn’t do the trick. I’ve used Neutrogena hand lotion in the past so I decided to pick up some of their foot cream to see how it would work. I also tried Bath & Body Works Shea It Isn’t So foot cream.

Pros

Neutrogena Foot Cream is odorless so it doesn’t clash with any other scents such as body lotion, cologne, hairspray, deodorant, etc. It spreads on smoothly and doesn’t take much so a 2-ounce bottle lasts a long time. At under $5.00, it’s also a bargain compared to many other foot creams.

Cons

As with all lotions, this foot cream takes a little time to absorb into your skin. If you use the cream and immediately put sandals or flip flops on (any shoes you would wear without socks), your feet will likely slip and slide around in your shoes.

What I do is use the foot cream as soon as I get out of the shower then put socks on my feet while I do my hair and makeup. By the time I’m ready to get dressed, the foot cream has absorbed and my heels look great. Another option is to use the foot cream at night while you’re sleeping.
