EcoGenics Skin Serum

EcoGenics Skin Serum

I’m sure I’ve mentioned at least a few times before that getting ready in the morning is last on my list of exciting events. I’m not a morning person, so the fewer things I have to do to get myself up and out the door, the better.

I’ve never been a fan of 15-step morning and evening skincare routines. That’s just one reason I really appreciate EcoGenics products. They streamline the skincare process and save me time, money and effort. EcoGenics products are made using natural ingredients so they are effective, but also safe enough to use around the sensitive eye area. That saves me the trouble and expense of having to purchase one product for my face and a separate one for my eyes.

Pros

After trying EcoGenics Skin Cleanser, I decided to put their Skin Serum through the paces and see what results I got with it. This product is an anti-wrinkle face, neck and eye serum that contains natural botanicals that firm and moisturize your face.

I’d tried several drugstore brand products including a few Loreal and Oil of Olay mid-priced creams (Eye Defense and Total Effects Advanced Anti-Aging Moisturizer) that just didn’t work. I’d spent about $34 on these two products alone with no results. (Not to mention all the other stuff I’d tried over the years that met the same fate.) So I was willing to pay a little more for something that would work and would also save me time and effort to boot.

The good news is… the EcoGenics Skin Serum does work. I can tell a positive difference around my eyes and mouth including a reduction in smile lines.

It’s easy to use, smooths on evenly, doesn’t have much of a scent and lasts a long time. It took me about 45 days to go through one bottle. Just one pump of the thin serum covers my entire face, eyes and neck.

Cons

You’re going to pay more for it. But, if you’re like me, you’re tired of paying $10 here and $20 there for off-the-shelf facial care products that don’t work. I bet I’ve spent $100 on products over the last year that are still sitting in my medicine cabinet because they had no effect.

I have no proof of this, but I honestly don’t think manufacturers put enough of the active ingredients into these low-priced creams to do any good. Maybe they’d work for a 30-something who has just starting to notice fine lines, but 40-somethings need a little more umph.

You’ll have to be patient. It took every day of the standard four-week waiting period before I saw results, but they did come. In fact, when my first bottle of the serum ran out, I bought something else to test (Oil of Olay Total Effects Advanced Anti-Aging Moisturizer). When that didn’t work and I began to notice lines returning, I went right out and got some more EcoGenics Skin Serum.

It costs more, but to me, paying more for something that works is a lot better than paying a little for something that will end up in the trash. (I’ve recently adopted the same attitude toward cheap electronics and other things I’ve had to replace once the inexpensive items died way before their time.)

NOTE: DON’T buy it from the EcoGenics website. They charge way more than Amazon.com or other online stores charge.

Thanks for your post about Ecogenics, Karon. I’ve bought Ecogenics for my sister over the years (she loves it) and decided to try it for myself too, about 10 years ago. I apply just the skin serum around my eyes and on my forehead. I don’t know if it’s just my luck at the genetic lottery, but I have to say that I’ve got far fewer wrinkles around my eyes than almost all my peers (one friend who has amazing young looking facial skin is from India, and he always stays out of the sun whenever he can or applies 60 SPF sunblock). I love the sun too much to stay out of it. The skin serum feels like it does penetrate through the layers. My skin does feel good after using it. I apply it once every morning, sometimes skipping a day or two. This is not a cheap product, but the good thing is that there are on-line sources making it available for 50% off. :-)

Yes, I think it’s great, too. Glad you stopped by to share your experience with Ecogenics.

Amazon sells it for less, but you can get it even cheaper if you look around (one website has it for $30, and if you buy two you’ll get free shipping).
