Nivea My Silhouette Redefining Gel Cream

Because I’m a fan of Nivea Good-Bye Cellulite Cream and Patches, I naturally was drawn to their newest product called My Silhouette Cream. However, at first glance, I was a little confused about what it was supposed to do.

The package reads, “Redefines the appearance of the body’s contours.” Hmm… OK. The back of the tube says, “My Silhouette Redefining Gel Cream combines the high-performance ingredients white tea and Anise extract for a dual action of toning and redefining. The toning part is what I was interested in. A little further down on the package I found, “Skin is noticeably firmer, tighter and more elastic.” I thought I’d give it a try on my stomach.

Pros

My Silhouette Cream has a nice, light scent. Not overpowering. It goes on smooth and absorbs very quickly. It did not leave any sticky residue on my skin. The cream spreads evenly so you don’t need to use a lot to cover the area you’re targeting.

Cons

It gives a so-so performance. After four weeks, I really didn’t notice any huge difference. The Nivea My Silhouette Cream might have worked slightly better than the less expensive firming lotions from Dove, Aveeno or Olay. But the difference in cost would prevent me from buying this product again. I thought this worked about the same as the lower-price Nivea Skin Firming Lotion with Q10.
